Feedback

Feedback and Assessment Information Sharing

Through my Teaching as Inquiry when in discussions with my target students, I learned that all of them wanted to know more words and be better at spelling.
I then incorporated Spelling into our Wednesday programme for my home base class Te Rōpū Whakamanawa.  Children were tested at the beginning of term one and their scores noted.  They then worked throughout the term using their individual test.  We tested again at the beginning of term three and results were shared with the children.

The green shows that that particular list was mastered with the child scoring 100%.
An increase in the amount of green shown, gave students great satisfaction and pride.

• Ensure learners receive ongoing feedback and assessment information and support them to use this information to guide further learning.
